Business Development Manager
SilverStripe is looking for an Auckland-based Business Development Manager to join our high-performing sales team.
What you will be doing
SilverStripe is a New Zealand owned and operated digital experiences company, whose mission is to help everyone have valued interactions with the organisations that shape modern life. To achieve this, our staff work closely with stakeholders from both public and private sector organisations to identify their areas of need, and develop solutions that enable them to achieve their business goals.
As a Business Development Manager at SilverStripe, your primary focus will be identifying and closing sales from new clients, particularly in the private sector. You will be a hunter, who has a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, by using all of the resources available to you. You will be comfortable working individually, while also collaborating with other Marketing and Sales team members to utilise their knowledge and abilities.
As SilverStripe is a digital agency, experience in selling services to complex large organisations is imperative. If you have a good contacts at some of NZ’s largest companies then even better. Some technical knowledge is required as you will need to develop a strong, confident understanding of our products and services, as well as knowledge of Cloud computing, digital systems and software development.

- Love hunting for business and ferreting around for opportunities
- Have contacts in large private sector organisations
- Have proven success in a complex and/or enterprise sales environment, with a focus on new customer acquisition.
- Have proven experience selling services and understand complex selling situations
- Are self-directed — you take ownership and have an “I’ve got this” attitude
- Thrive in a team-driven, fast-paced work environment — your team can rely on you to pitch in and help them get over the line every time.
- Are digitally savvy and passionate about enabling new customers to achieve their goals in the transforming digital world.
- Are happy using Salesforce CRM and other technology tools.
